Meet the KBR Management Team

It has been an enormous year of change for us here at Kids' Book Review. What started with a sad farewell to long time Senior Reviewer Kelly Morton and an adjustment of roles for site founder Tania McCartney, now Editor-at-large, and Susan Whelan, previously Senior Reviewer and now KBR Managing Editor, has become something quite amazing and exciting.

Tania and Susan are very excited to announce that Kids' Book Review has a newly formed Management Team, all passionate about children's books and eager to develop Kids' Book Review into the go-to website for everything related to books and writing for children from babies and toddlers to teenagers.

The new Kids' Book Review Management Team includes:

Tania McCartney - Founder and Editor-at-large
Susan Whelan - Managing Editor
Anouska Jones - Editor
Peta Keown - Editor
Jo Burnell - Development Editor
Sarah Steed - Consultant Librarian

Throughout today we will be introducing each member of the team in a series of posts. If you can't wait to meet us all, you can grab a sneek peek by visiting our Kids' Book Review About page.

We're very excited about the amazing skills and knowledge these women will bring to Kids' Book Review and we can't wait to get started working together to pursue and develop some great new ideas and projects, as well as continuing to provide you with reviews of the best selection of children's books from Australia and around the world.

  1. Nice one KBR. Congratulations to you all on keeping it so tightly and brilliantly together. KBR is a stellar little site with even more bright stars within it now. Best wishes to you all. Dimity

  2. Thanks Dimity.

We're very excited about all the wonderful projects we'll be working on in the coming months. It's great to have so much talent and passion focused on helping Kids' Book Review to continue to grow and develop.

  3. Congratulations to the good ship, KBR and those who sail upon her, including the worthy Captain Tanya, Bosun Susan and the rest of her crew. Thank you from all of us - we wish you fair winds and far horizons.

  4. Best wishes to all. It sounds as if the team has everything well in hand for a continuing bright future.

  5. Well done! Sounds a great team - and a bright future.

  6. Thanks Sheryl and Janeen,

I'm feeling very lucky to be part of such a great team and I can't wait to get started exploring all the ideas that are already under discussion. Exciting times ahead!
