The Peter's Railway books are full of adventure and they also have technical information about how trains and railways work.

This is another great train adventure story. It is a good book to read in winter and at Christmas.

This is a fun book for people who like trains and books where you have to spot different things in the pictures.

This book is a good story about model trains and using your imagination.

This is a great train puzzle book for young kids.

This book has pull-out sections and lots of interesting information about trains.

Trains: A Pop-up Railway Book by Robert Crowther, Walker Books, $29.95, 9780744596564

This is a great pop-up train book, including information about world records for trains and train stations. There is a pop-up train station where you can move the trains around. (KBR review here)

Thomas and the Blackout (Thomas & Friends), based on the Railway series by Rev. W Awdry, Egmont UK, 9781405241717

This is a great book for little kids who like Thomas the Tank Engine. You can use Harold's search light to find things in the pictures.
