Review: Dreamers

We are the dream and the dreamers…

It’s possible that this gorgeous picture book could have included only those words and I would have been happy. What a wonderful phrase to capture the hope and the potential of children. Fortunately, author Ezekiel Kwaymullina continues on with further evocative descriptions that describe the imagination and energy of children at play.

Accompanied by bright illustrations by Sally Morgan that are full of life and movement, the text celebrates the way children interact with their world when they play and explore, both physically and creatively.

I love this picture book because it is joyful and joy-filled. I am a passionate about the importance of encouraging our children to develop their imagination and creativity, and for me, this book represents all the potential that I see in children when I discuss this topic.

This is a book sure to be enjoyed by parents who delight in the creativity of their children and I hope that every child who reads this book feels inspired to explore their world – whether physically or creatively or both!

…We are children wild and hope bright.
