Review: 101 Things To Do While You Poo

I’ve never laughed so much in my life! I didn’t realize there were so many facts about poo available. Where was this book when we needed it? Many parents, grandparents and carers will ask this question.

Did you know that there are over 100 names for the bathroom/toilet? The favourite (mine also) is the Reading Room. Throughout my lifetime, many a good book has been read in there, while I pretended to be oblivious to the pounding on the door accompanied by words that can’t be mentioned here.

Kids will love this book and any selection of the contents will keep them occupied while sitting on the toilet. Parents will find this book indispensible for toilet training toddlers in a stress-free and unhurried way. What about the children that hate the thought of doing their number two? Having experienced the drama connected to toilet use, I wish I’d read it years ago.

No more counting tiles or flowers on the wallpaper. There are countless solutions to the P problem listed here. Fun facts about poo, puzzles, mazes, Sudoku, endless creative crafts - many made from toilet rolls, and over 70 brainteasers fill the pages. The text plays with words to entertain and add additional humour. There are bathroom jokes, dot-to-dot knicker art, and lots of terrific illustrations to accompany almost every entry.

The Poo Rainbow and types of farts, their toxicity and a stink-o- metre will have readers in stitches. Poo is a large and unavoidable part of life therefore we should be informed about it. There is also a detailed fold-out poster for reinforcement.

I loved this book. Hooray to the people who created it and thanks for the laughs every person who opens this will get, along with lessons learnt about this bodily function!
