Review: Adventures In... activity Books

Looking for a quality stocking-stuffer or school holiday boredom buster? This fabulous news series from Lonely Planet are almost too gorgeous to 'activate', but the kids will have so much fun ... and you might, like me, find yourself chipping in, too.

The three titles include Adventures in Cold Places, Adventures in Wild Places and Adventures in Busy Places--all jam-packed with the most gorgeous illustrations and design elements.

Each title takes kids on a supersonic journey around the world, visiting places relating to the title. In Cold Places, we visit places like Sweden, the Peruvian and Swiss Alps, Canada, Russia, and of course--the Arctic and Antarctic.

In Wild Places, it's sites like Australia, India and the Galapagos Islands, and in Busy Places, we travel to Paris, London, Tokyo, Sydney, New York, Beijing, Rio and more.

Each book also includes animals, food, landscapes and local idiosyncrasies that will enchant kids. Over 250 stickers can be added to specially-designed, glossy pages, and matte pages offer colouring-in, mazes, spot-the-difference and more.

A firm cover and glossy pages make this a high quality production that will last the distance--and quite frankly, is phenomenal value for money.

High-end activity fun, for the adventurer in all of us.
