Review: 101 Games to Play Before you Grow Up

101 Games to Play Before you Grow Up is a marvellous collection of fun and entertaining games for kids (and adults).

What I love most about this book is that the games are simple and require minimal equipment, so you can pick up the book, choose a game and just start playing.

I also love that most of the games are classics, like hide-and-seek and rock, paper, scissors. These are games you will remember from your own childhood, and you’ll delight in being able to play them again (with or without kids in tow!).

The book is also very well organised. The games are divided into categories, such as paper and pencil games, outdoor games and card games.

And for each game you’ll get a great playing guide, which includes age level, number of players, what you need to play, where to play and activity level.

There are sections called 'what else to play', which describe spinoffs or alternative ways to play a game, and sections called 'did you know?’, which provide super interesting facts about the games.

Like, did you know there are official Thumb Wrestling tournaments held all over the world? Or did you know Duck, Duck, Goose is also known as Duck, Duck, Gray Duck? Who knew!

101 Games to Play Before you Grow Up is a really cool book to have at home. It provides 101 opportunities for fun! And as you finish each game, at the bottom of each page, there is a special box to fill out with a star rating and notes about the date you played and who you played with.

With hours and hours of fun to be found, 101 Games to Play Before you Grow Up is a must-read.
