Review: Marcel

Marcel. He's adorable. He lives in New York with his human. Dedicated New Yorkers, the pair love to trot off Downtown on their daily walk to enjoy the sights and the sounds that make this city so special.

Along the way, they stop of for a bagel, nip into a day spa for some pampering, and then enjoy the cool tunes of a jazz trio under the arch at Washington Square.

Naturally, Marcel loves a good bone, and his favourite place of all is the Museum. All those scrumptious dinosaur bones make it the most magical place ever!

Yes, Marcel is one happy puppy. Until another human comes onto the scene. His human seems to like this other human very, very much. He also likes to go walking through the city, enjoying the sights and sounds.

Will our darling Marcel be superseded by another?

This is a wonderful romp around an amazing city. Warm text with a dry, first-person [first-dog!] humour trails alongside cleverly-constructed imagery featuring our darling painted pup, collaged with black and white or hand-coloured photographs, patterns and textures. The result is a truly gorgeous visual journey that balances beautifully with typography.

Delightful.
