Review: Tiger Terror! and Bat Attack!

The first two installments of the Hazard River series, Shark Frenzy! and Snake Surprise! were a combination of adventure, mystery, trouble and action.

These next two books are just as exhilarating.

Tiger Terror! opens with our young hero, Jack, awaiting some fun in Chinatown. And he's in for some interesting adventures, that's for sure; just not quite what he expected.

Seeing a man with a tiger paw, Jack decides he must find out what's going on. After all, tigers are on the verge of extinction. This sets him down a path that might see him way out of his depth.

Will Jack and his friends be able to solve this problem?

Introducing us to another animal in danger, Bat Attack! continues the story of Jack's holiday at Hazard River.

It's New Year's Eve and a near collision between Jack's bike and a car has him wondering what the driver's big hurry is. So, of course, he chases after the car to find out.

In the process, he learns a lot more about bats than he ever thought he would. This is partly due to his friend Mimi, who is a wealth of knowledge, and partly because he's face-to-face with the screaming creatures.

Slowly, Jack is learning the perils of combining saving all manner of species with life as a normal boy.

And he knows that a holiday at Hazard River will always guarantees lots of adventure.
