It's Movember! with Mr Mo

KBR loves a good cause, and this month Movember will be in full and hairy swing, with blokes everywhere spouting fuzzy bits from upper lips.

Movember is a wonderful initiative in support of men's health and wellbeing. Each year, Movember aims to raise funds for men's health program investment, and also raise awareness about health issues particular to men.

As well as general wellbeing, Movember also aims to support men experiencing mental illness, cancers exclusive to the male form, and health research.

To help bring further awareness to the campaign, Penguin Australia has announced the publication of Mr. Mo--a timely addition to the classic Roger Hargreaves series, first created in 1971.

Akin to the Movember ethos that every Mo Bro (a man who grows a Mo for Movember) must conduct himself in true gentlemanly fashion, Mr. Mo sees his manners return as his moustache grows back during Movember. Recruiting the support of his mates in Dillydale along the way, the story concludes with many favourite Mr. Men characters donning moustaches.

“We’re extremely excited to have the support of a global icon this Movember. The Mr. Men series will resonate with Mo growers and supporters around the world, so it is an honour to have the first edition of Mr. Mo published in Australia thanks to Penguin Books. Coming to life in print, Mr. Mo will undoubtedly raise much needed awareness for men’s health around the country,” said Jeremy Macvean, Movember Country Director.

Traditionally printed in paperback, Mr. Mo is a rare hardback release for the Mr. Men series. The limited edition book will be launched in time for Movember and will see 20% of every sale donated to Movember to support prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health initiatives.

If you can't sprout your own mo, get behind the cause by purchasing a copy of this gorgeous, limited edition book.
