Review: Blunderingly Brilliant!

From the moment I got my hands on a copy of Blunderingly Brilliant! my nine year old son hijacked it and was instantly hooked.

Adam Wallace and James Hart have successfully created another action packed, classic slap-stick comedy-filled book, particularly appealing to boys. With a laugh-out-loud storyline by Wallace, complemented with 80 of James Hart’s zany illustrations, Blunderingly Brilliant! is the second book in the series and sequel to Accidentally Awesome.

When Jackson Payne finds himself onthe front page of the newspaper, he starts to believe he is brilliant….a born hero! In fact, his overinflated ego becomes so big he thinks “he's the biggest legend in the entire world! And that's when things start going very, very wrong.”

Complete with a huge marshmallow Easter egg on legs, a tidal wave of canteen food and a stinky nappy; where baddies go to jail and goodies triumph, Blunderingly Brilliant! will keep kids enthralled from the moment they open this book. With a great message of friendship, forgiveness and humility, and wrapped up in a clever and somewhat outlandish tale, Blunderingly Brilliant! is sure to delight and captivate even the most reluctant reader.
