Review: My Stencil Kit

Herve Tullet fans will be delighted with this latest offering--a large format book and stencil kit that will have kids cooking up their very own illustrated stories.

The book features a series of wide-open-space pages for kids to create on, inspired to create by Tullet's arcs of random colour and pattern.

Six large, hard-wearing stencil sheets can be positioned over the pages and either traced or stippled with paint to create vibrant scenes.

My only criticism is that, other than a paper sleeve to wrap round the book and stencils, there is nowhere to 'store' the stencils, and children would have a hard time trying to align and insert both them and the book through the little sleeve.

Otherwise, this is another Tullet creative triumph for both kids and lovers of art (something that's pretty much synonymous).
