Review: The Travel Bug

In The Travel Bug, a little blue bug doesn’t know what kind of bug he is, so he travels around the world to discover his identity. From Kyoto to New York, the bug has a wild adventure, meeting other insects and enjoying cultural delights.

This is a fun, rhyming picture book adventurers and insect lovers are sure to enjoy. Benjamin Gilmour has written a heart-warming story that explores various countries and cultures and introduces a range of interesting insects.

The illustrations by James Gulliver Hancock are vibrant and delectably detailed. The pictures are bursting with patterns and colour, and bugs, bugs and more bugs buzz and scuttle on every page (there are seriously hundreds of bugs to spot throughout the book!).

The Travel Bug is fun to read and a joy to explore.
