Junior Review: Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children

Miss Peregrine’s home For Peculiar Children is an action packed, can’t put down read for young adults that I absolutely love.

The story is focused on Jacob, a sixteen-year-old boy who watches his grandfather die in a horrific incident, his last words telling Jacob to journey to his old children’s home. As Jacob explores the derelict home his grandfather loved to tell stories about, he finds a trunk of extremely peculiar photos. With the help of some time bending, Jacob is thrown head first into a world of adventure he didn’t even know existed.

The fresh, unique plot overflowing with twists and thrills was just one of the things that compelled me to keep reading just one more page in this novel. The author has done such an amazing job that the whole story plays out like a movie in my mind.

These wonderful things combined with captivating photos woven throughout makes for an incredible read. This book is perfect for teens looking for an unforgettable, vivacious fantasy novel.
