About: It was quite a shock coming upon this conspiracy in August when Gabrielle Lord has been churning one out for every month of the year. But after a few chapters (and a handy review of July) I began to get an actual sense of the story and I was swept up in both the conspiracy and the page turning style of the author.

Strap yourself in, though, as it moves fast and changes direction without notice. Now that you are sure who the enemy is, here comes a plot twist to mess with your mind.

Lord’s fantastic idea of a series named for the month of its release gives the drama a sense of real time action. It also can’t help but keep the audience involved knowing they only have to wait a few weeks for the next instalment. This format must be hard work for the author but is a reader’s delight.

I am fan of this style of story, am happy that there is a talented writer who has taken on the style for younger readers, but more than that - I am keen to go back and read the other months I have missed.
