Review: My Monster Bubble Writer Book

My Monster Bubble Writer Book has these words inside the front cover: This book is all about monsters, bubble writing and drawing - three of the best things in the world.

Until I read that introduction, I had never considered that bubble writing could be a phenomenon loved the world over. We spent hours perfecting it when I was at school, and since encountering this activity book, I realise my school friends and I were not alone.

Although bubble writing has been around for generations, this book is cutting edge. With statements like ‘You are totes amaze’ and ‘I heart u,’ you can’t go wrong.

With a brown cardboard cover and blue and black ink used throughout, you’d be forgiven for thinking this looks like someone’s (perfect) biro sketch book. Full of things to make and do, activities include designing monster tee-shirts, word finds and monsterdooku.

Then there are comic strips to create, flick book instructions and door knob hangers to cut out and design. However, I don’t know if I could bring myself to use scissors on the pages; I’d have to photocopy.

At the end of this book, your budding designer will be an expert at the best fonts in the world, creating monsters and sending written friendship messages to everyone they know.

A bubblicious activity book!
