12 Curly Questions with author Dav Pilkey

1. Tell us something hardly anyone knows about you. 
I'm very shy.

2. What is your nickname?  
Gidget Hamsterbrains

3. What is your greatest fear?
Sharknadoes

4. Describe your writing style in ten words.  
Very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very descriptive.

5. Tell us five positive words that describe you as a writer. 
This is a hard question. I could only think of three: alliterative, satiric and mischievous.

6. What book character would you be, and why?
Clifford the Big, Red Dog.  Why?  'Cause NOBODY messes with Clifford the Big, Red Dog.
 
7. If you could time travel, what year would you go to and why?
I'd go back to the early 1940's so I could hit the jazz clubs and listen to Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and the Mills Brothers. 

8. What would your ten-year-old self say to you now?
"Can I use your Xbox?

9. Who is your greatest influence?  
Charles M. Schulz

10. What/who made you start writing?
I was encouraged to write by my English teacher in college.

11. What is your favourite word and why? 
Procrastinate.  It's fun to say and fun to do.

12. If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be?  
Walden by Henry David Thoreau
