Review: My New Home

Our little fox poppet has just moved house. Far away from the old house. To a new house.

This new house doesn't quite feel the same. Things are colder. Lonelier. Sadder.

Fox misses old friends and the old way of life but very soon things start to change. Things become warmer, friendships develop, games beg playing and giggles are free for the taking.

Sure, the old friends send snail mail and the heart aches a little and always will, but embracing the new is what this lovely book is all about--without letting go of the life we once had, and the little pieces of heart that are left along the way.

Truly divine and whimsical illustrations accompanying this simple story bring a modern feel, with that retro/Scandi twist I love so much. Marta's pages are just a joy to scoot through, her characters beautifully childlike and endearing, and her colour palette to drool over (and perhaps even eat with a spoon).

The creator of I Am An Artist!, Marta is absolutely a creator to start collecting.
