Review: What Do You Wish For?

Ruby loves Christmas. There's always so much to look forward to! Especially the tree. The Christmas Wish tree.

Each and every year, Ruby and her friends write a wish to hang on the tree. Some wish for puppies. Others for lollipops. Some wish they could go camping or that their Lego would come alive.

This year, Ruby's wish feels too big to write on a small piece of paper. She thinks about all the wonderful things that Christmas means to her--and there is just so very much. From making special cookies to decorating the tree to Dad coming home early to being allowed to stay up late.

She finally makes her very special wish--something all children (and adults) would no doubt wish for, too.

A truly heart-warming story about the beauty, joy and togetherness of the festive season, especially through the eyes of the very young, What Do You Wish For is a visually-evocative story that captures not only the thrill of Christmas, but the importance of family, friendship and community.

Anna Walker's divine illustrations combine with adorable characters to create a book that typifies an idyllic festive day--from curling pink toes fresh from a Christmas morning bed, to the tippety-top of the star-crowned tree.
