Review: Blue the Builder's Dog

Blue is a dog who likes to work on building sites. He likes to work with his mate and ride in his ute. He likes to be the guard of all the tools and he even likes putting his pawprints on concrete slabs that are still drying!

But the difficult thing is, Blue doesn't haven't his own home. He sleeps in a cold shed and he's not happy about that. He's a Working Dog and he wants his own place. He deserves his own place. So what does he do? He quits his job and builds a home!

But maybe he wasn't meant to be a builder ...

Especially when a storm arrives that night.

The team on the building site miss Blue. Will he go back to work and become part of the team again? And will he get the house he would really love?

I think kids will love this book because of the dog and all the cool building sites. Blue is a lot of fun and I like that he's got a strong will and has his own strong personality. And everyone on the building site loves him, too. Any kid would like a dog like him.

The illustrations are really busy and fun, with lots of action and things that make you smile. I like when Blue chases away a stickybeak cat, and when Blue builds his own house--it's funny. I think this team of author and illustrator has done a fantastic job and I think kids and parents of many ages will love this book. I recommend it to anyone who loves animals and also loves fun!
