Junior Review: Crimewave

Crimewave is an on-the-edge-of-your-seat read that you can’t put down unless you want to go crazy trying to imagine what happens next. Everything about this book is action packed.

Crimewave is book 5 in a thrilling seven book series. A group of seven, each from a different continent, band together after winning a competition called DARE.

Each book features a different attack made on the world by the ‘Signmaker’ a mysterious, dangerous character who sends out signs symbolising his next horrific attack.

Crimewave opens with a robot war, which is crazy enough, but things soon escalate when five of the seven set out on a mission to save the other two, who have been kidnapped by a deadly villain. Then there’s the next attack looming ever closer…

I loved how gripping this chapter book was. Then there was the cliff-hanger at the end which stood out for me.

Although I wouldn’t usually choose to read a book like this, as soon as I started I couldn’t stop. Michael Adams has an intriguing way of writing that makes the book fast moving, but at the same time easy to understand.

I would recommend reading the series in order because of the constantly moving pace. So, if you are looking for an exciting novel that will have you biting your nails, then look no further.
