Review: Introducing D'Lila LaRue

D’Lila LaRue is a smart, sassy, independent young girl, ready for adventure.

Along with her nanny Nanny-Anny, D’Lila is ready to take on the world.

Three stories in one, Introducing D’Lila LaRue takes readers to the theatre, to painting classes and into a gardening competition.

D’Lila isn’t a trouble maker by any means, brought up right by Nanny-Anny, but trouble does still seem to find her, even when she’s doing her very best to be on her best behaviour.

This is a charming junior fiction story collection, perfect for new readers. The stories are fun and compact, and kids will adore sweet and independent D’Lila. She’s the kid you want to be. She says the things you want to say and she does the things you want to do.

Sprinkled with divine black and white illustrations from A.Yi, the book is a great one for newly independent readers. Large text and short chapters also help.

If you’re looking for a great, fun read for your junior reader, and your reader likes sweet stories about girls taking charge, this one is for you.
