Review: My Mum's the Best

Author Rosie Smith must have fallen about in glee when she knew Masterful Mr Whatley was going to illustrate her charming book about the best mums in the world.

Of course, every mum in the world is The Best - especially MY mum, and in this sweet picture book, kids can meet many a fabulous mum, in various incarnations.

From bears who give the best cuddles to to bulldogs that give the best smooches.

From penguins who supply the freshest fish to seals who really know how to play ball.

From warbling birds to dancing frogs . . . these fortunate little babies certainly can make claim to the best mums ever.

Fun, gorgeously illustrated and heart-warming, this would be a lovely Mother's Day gift from toddler to mum. Or vice versa.
