Review: Some Dads...

Some dads worry. Some dads hurry. Some get lost and some are sporty. Others like strolling and some are even naughty! (can you believe that?)

Dads are as individual as the children who adore them – not a single one is the same. Nick Bland celebrates those differences in a simple, utterly charming picture book.

Some Dads showcases a parade of adorable animal dads – from rhinos to monkeys – and their charges.

There’s the elephant dad with the swimming pool full of lifesaver rings, encouraging his little one to jump on in.

There’s the cow dad clinging to a buoy, adrift in the universe, after becoming horribly lost.

There’s the giraffe dad hollering his head off at the school dance recital.

Whatever he’s doing, each featured dad is a pure picture of hilarity, crafted from the tip of Bland’s superb brush. Kids will not only giggle, they’re sure to see even the smallest part of their own dad in one of these gorgeous characters.

Put it this way – Father’s Day is a great excuse to buy this book for yourself (and okay… the kids, too). And alright - if you must - for Dad, as well.
