Review: I Got This Hat

The creative team behind Parrot Carrot is back, with this truly delightful book for wee ones.

Everyone loves a good hat (well, except the headless), and an especially good hat is always, always appreciated by the very young.

But it's not enough to have a plain old cap from the local shop, no no. The truly established hat-wearer obtains their headgear from China. Or Mexico.

Or from a Viking.

He might even source something from a pilot, or from a dancing islander, from the Scottish Islands, or a pirate.

As you do.

Featuring sensational, full-page typefacing and gorgeously-lilting rhyme, this is the perfect read-aloud book for tots, who will simply adore the warmly funny illustrations and whackadoodle hats. The illustrations and design of this beautiful book will also immensely appeal to picture-book-obsessed adults.

The ultra simple storyline even has a fun and clever ending--something that can be rare in picture books for toddlers.

Great fun.
