Review: Olivia's ABC

Gotta love Olivia. She's such a feisty, creative, classic character, and in her very first ABC book, we are treated to the many and varied and wonderful parts that comprise this fabulous little pig.

A is for--what else but accessories! A big red bow, glamorous red heels, bling and a slick of red lippie.

B is for--backpack. It's also for books and booties and ball and bikini. C is chandelier, cat and couch, and on we go, chuckling along as Olivia interacts with each word in her typically curious way.

Clean white pages and stunning monochromatic imagery (the focus is on red but some pages add an unexpected splash of yellow or green or blue) make for a lusciously-visual book, with that lovely modern/retro blending Ian Falconer does so well.

With rounded corners and strong board pages throughout, this is a glossy, beautifully produced book that will have little ones all a-dither.

Gorgeous.
