Review: Get Out of My Bath!

It's bath time, and Ellie the elephant can't wait! She sits happily in her bath with her little rubber duck for company. Oh, but she wants some waves — that always makes bath time more fun! So, we need to help her. If we shake the book from side to side, I wonder what will happen?

Yes, we've made some waves! And now they're splashing all over Ellie and her little duck. But oh no, a crocodile's joined Ellie in the bath! We're going to have to shout loudly to scare him away.

Oops. It looks like that didn't work, because now a flamingo has arrived. And now a tiger. This bath is getting crowded! What is poor Ellie going to do?

This is such a gorgeously clever bath time book. Little kids will love shaking the book and tilting it to the left and right, all so that they can 'make' Ellie's waves. And they're sure to yell with enthusiasm as they try to scare off that crocodile. (It's fortunate, though, that Ellie is a smart little elephant and comes up with her own solution to that pesky overcrowding problem!)

The illustrations are adorable and high production values add to the book's appeal, as the water on every page has been coated in a spot UV varnish to give it a shiny, 'watery' feel.

This is the perfect gift for every toddler — although it's possible not all parents will appreciate the bathroom mayhem that's bound to follow!
