Review: Stray (Spark Trilogy #2)

Evangeline, better known as Evie, doesn’t fit the mould. She should be superhuman, unthinking and controllable, according to her pre-programmed DNA. But the authors of DNA manipulation, the Affinity Project, didn’t count on Evie.  Submissiveness is not in her vocabulary.

When her twin brother turns out to be predestined by DNA to kill Evie’s best friend, Evie, as the predestined Shield, achieves what has never be done before. She connects with her twin and neutralises his DNA. Or does she? Stray is about believing in the impossible and doing your best to make those beliefs come true even if it means losing everything in the process.

The Affinity Project want to control Evie and kill her brother because of his original DNA reading but Evie has other ideas. It means running away and losing everything she cares about. There is too much at stake.

Will Evie survive? What about her brother? Can Jamie ever forgive Evie for her seeming betrayal? And what about Kitty, the original victim? Is she walking into a death trap?

Stray is a fly-through-the-pages thriller. Forget about the real world: the one Rachel Craw compels you to explore will grab you by the throat and won’t let you go till the last page.

Un-put-down-able.
