Review: Time for Bed, Daddy

‘Come on, Daddy, it’s time for bed.’
‘But I’m not tired,’ says Daddy.

Follow a little girl’s patient efforts to get her dad to bed in this humorous picture book written and illustrated by popular author and cartoonist ‘Cartoon’ Dave Hackett.

You’ll be laughing out loud as father and daughter swap their bedtime routine duties, with the little girl patiently trying to get through the list of things that need to be done before bed and the father finding lots of excuses for delaying the inevitable. Sound familiar to anyone?

With simple, boldly-coloured illustrations, lots of white space and appealing text with accent words in bright blue, Time for Bed, Daddy is a fun story that will appeal to both parents and young children. Fantastic to read aloud, this entertaining bedtime story is sure to send children off to sleep smiling.
