Review: We Wear Pants

From the moment I saw this book I knew I was in for a treat.

We Wear Pants is a super fun exploration of getting dressed through visuals of animals wearing clothes, and appropriately it begins with clothes of the underwear variety.

Bright bold illustrations and succinct text lead the way. Each spread begins with instructions like ‘Which animals are wearing pants? Find your favourites!’. Many of the 35 animal illustrations on each spread have a little something to say or a question to send you off on more hunting adventures.

The animals and their hilariously unlikely outfits are certain to get a giggle from children and adults alike. You’ll find my favourite picture on the page about hats, a thirsty little duck with a teapot hat, or maybe it’s the ‘frog in a clog’, I just can’t decide!

We Wear Pants is interactive and fun to read aloud. After each read I’m finding new and funny bonuses on each page which I didn’t notice before. I’ve no doubt hours could be spent searching, observing and discussing all the fabulous and fun scenes within the book.
