Review: Sea Life

Sea Life is another winner from the Alphaprints series. In this bright board book, we discover 20 different animals from the ocean, presented using a collage of everyday objects and embossed fingerprints, with a high gloss finish.

Rhyming text and fun descriptions for each animal make it a joy to learn and read aloud with young children. The bright design and tactile experience is perfect for little hands and growing minds.

The animals include a dolphin designed using a banana, a squid from a shuttlecock, an octopus with wriggly lolly arms and my favourite, the hammerhead shark made using an actual hammer for its head and a garden rake for a tail.

Like other books in the Alphaprints series, Sea Life inspires the imagination and is educational for young audiences. It’s also a sturdy board book with particularly thick pages, making it ready for even the toughest of toddler treatment.
